disable pointer messages when mouse is stationary
Hi I want to be able to turn off the mouse pointer messages that appear when the mouse is stationary for more than 1 or 2 secs. The reason is due to wanting to be able to read what is under the pointer or around the pointer better. I can't find a setting to do this. Can you assist? I am using Windows 7 Pro.

This will depend on what site you are navigating on or if it is in the Firefox interface. However what you are describing sounds like tooltips.
In Firefox:
- "Type about:config in Firefox's address bar and hit on the enter key afterwards.
- Confirm that you will be careful if this is the first time that you are accessing the page.
- Paste browser.chrome.toolbar_tips into the search form on top.
- The preference is of the boolean type, which means that it can either be true (enabled) or false (disabled).
- Just double-click on the name to change it to false to disable tooltips."
