Installation of Lightning is failing. Says restart Thunderbird to complete installation, but this does not work.

Have found the Add-On and pressed install. Lightning appears in the Extensions tab, saying Lightning will be installed after you restart Thunderbird. Have tried re-starting Thunderbird, but nothing has installed.
