TB 45.2.0 WIN 8.1 laptop TB configured as IMAP

Android phone em NOT configured as IMAP & running "k9 mail prog"

when new messages are dl on laptop, some in the folder are in bold (as they should be) and some are not bolded - even if phone is not turned on nor touched

NOTHING has been changed in settings for email on either phone or laptop in many months

behavior of some ems arriving NOT bolded only in last couple of days.

My guess your server is marking the downloaded mail as read.

Thanks Matt I agree that it is probably the server marking them as "read" but when I talked with support at hosting, they said that it was not the server marking them as "read" TIA
