I have compacted as much as I can but T'Bird refuses to move Messages. How can I give it more "Space"
Thunderbird tells me to delete Messages and/or compact Folders, or all Folders. I do not want to delete Messages. They are of historical Significance, so how do I have T'bird use more Storage Space, there is plenty on the Drive, I just need to have T'Bird use more of the Space, or is there an Upper Limit on how much it can store? On the Drive, there is 163 GB free. Also, the T'Bird Store is on Dropbox, and there is plenty of Storage Space there. How do I obtain more Space, or how do I set up T'Bird to take the Space it needs, Or, do I have to use another e-Mail Program?

I see two issues.
1. folders greater than 4Gb will cause issues, prune them to size by placing mail in more folders.
2. Dropbox will lead to issues as the synchronization load will see random errors with files. Thunderbird expects the speed of a local files system. Placing files in the cloud reduces that speed to the pedestrian ones offered by broadband. When Thunderbird opens your 4Gb inbox for example, first the file has to download, then it has to be opened. given you might have many large folder (each folder is a single file) you might realistically be uploading and downloading the equivalent of a 2hour high definition video every 10 or 20 minutes.
