I have read a recent article from the Howtogeek website concerning Firefox Content Blocking. They suggest that Firefox has teamed up with Disconnect to provide this function.

I already have the Disconnect add-on installed. My question is, do I need to keep this add-on? If I remove the add-on, will all of the functions still be covered by Firefox Content Blocking ?

I am using version 65 of Firefox.

For that question on Disconnect your going to have to ask them that since it's their software. And what howtogeek website link are you referring to?

The Howtogeek link is https://www.howtogeek.com/405264/how-to-block-trackers-in-firefox-without-installing-add-ons/

This article is about Content Blocking, but suggests that the feature within Firefox is due to a collaboration between Disconnect and Mozilla.

Hi! Now that it's been a little while since that article, aaaand it's been something like 6 weeks since the Enhanced Tracker Protection announcement re: Firefox + Disconnect, I'm gonna bump this question :)

Is there a benefit to using the "Disconnect" Firefox addon, or not anymore, or?

Thank you!
