I am concerned about Firefox's data sharing functions. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/privacy/firefox/

Can anyone inform me on how to turn off these functions, if it is possible to do so?

Alternatively, if these functions do not breach security or privacy for a user, please let me know; in such a case it would not be necessary to de-activate.

In the Privacy & Security section of the Firefox settings, there is a Firefox Data Collection and Use section. This will allow you to limit what data is shared with Mozilla. Each option there has a Learn More button so you can see what the data is used for.

Mozilla fights for user privacy, so they keep data collection to a minimum. It's generally just statistical data to improve Firefox and pinpoint issues that users discover.

NOTE: If you use search, a Firefox Account, Firefox Sync, location services, Firefox Screenshots, website notifications or add-ons there is some data that Mozilla will share for functionality.
