No matter what I do -- I mark messages as not junk, turn off junk control, reset junk learning, create a filter to mark the worst victim as not junk before running junk controls -- TB re-marks messages as junk but does not move them. This is only happening on an IMAP aol account.

Hi According to the details described in this earlier question, it may not be Thunderbird that is 'marking them as junk'. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1251087 Are you sure AOL is not creating the 'Junk' marker before messages get to TB? Agnes

Thanks Agnes. No it is not AOL. I frequently log in to AOL to check the Spam folder and the one sender that is repeatedly marked as junk does not get marked as spam by AOL. The sender is in my address book on both Thunderbird and AOL.

Hmm. So - to be sure we're understanding this right - in the Inbox you have the little flame symbol on multiple messages, but not on all messages. Can you upload a screenshot? Settings that control junk processing are in two places ... Options - Security (global setting) and Account Settings - more specific variations per account. I assume you have checked both. Have you tried manually marking a single message as junk and seeing if that is properly moved to the junk folder? The 'move' function may only be activated when you identify a message as junk. Have you tried starting Thunderbird in Safe mode - does the same behaviour happen then? Agnes
