The Top Sites section of the built-in Firefox Home / New Tab page contains a few pre-pinned examples and then sites from your history. So that is personalized to you.
There are many ways to manage the Top Sites section, including pinning your own pages for easy access, blocking URLs that have shown up there, and/or hiding the section. These articles will describe these options in more detail:
