Help me recover a saved password I accidentally deleted?
Accidentally deleted a saved login I have for a school website while trying to create another account. The new account has its saved login and password, but the old one I deleted without thinking :( I can't restore logins.json to a previous version like in this thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1134239 . Is there any other way?

Windows 8-10 do not expose the Previous Versions tab, but there may still be data stored in a Shadow Copy. You can use a utility program to search inside restore points to try to locate an old file that's usable. (Please do NOT try to use the built-in Windows System Restore for this because you probably would lose data.)
First, set Windows to show hidden files and folders: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files
Then download and run one of these two programs:
- ShadowExplorer: http://www.shadowexplorer.com/
- Shadow Copy View: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shadow_copy_view.html
Within the most recent restore point shown in the program, you can explore along this path to see whether you can find a shadow copy of your profile:
\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\your-profile
You can export any promising logins.json and key4.db files to a convenient location such as your currently live desktop.
To see what is in logins.json, you can drag and drop it onto an open Firefox tab. (Of course, some data is encrypted, but you should be able to see what site are in there.) I don't know whether there is a way to successfully merge multiple files together; that's not a built-in feature.
Do you remember this deleted password and only want to restore the old login in Lockwise ?
You can merge logins by using the import from CSV file feature and possibly edit a CSV export file.
