website will not load
i have a login to Harris county /toll Road Authority. A few weeks ago, it quit loading. When I click the bookmark, the tab shows motion, but after that, only a blank screen. I have tried the same web site on MS Edge, and it loads without a problem. Tried settings change to no proxy, adding the login to exceptions - no change, it still loads a blank screen. What is going on?

Try this option... Forget About This Site, but make sure you know the password if you have a login. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/remove-websites-address-bar-suggestions
And this... clear the Firefox cache https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache#search And this... Firefox in Safe Mode https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-4troubleshoot-modesf5safe-modesf
Yes, that is the site I want to open.
None of that helped - mostly because I have set the browser to clear everything each time I close Firefox, so there was no history to clear. I have tried everything mentioned above. This is frustrating. I can open it with the junk Microsoft puts out, but not from Firefox. I have tried everything, even letting it use locator and tracking cookies, but to no avail.
Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

Are you using a proxy or VPN?
You can check the connection settings.
- Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
See "Firefox connection settings":

You can use websites like these to see how your location is reported via a reverse DNS look up of your IP:
cor-el, I have done all of those things. None of it fixes the situation. All other websites load except that one to HCTRA.org.
I recently updated my ISP contract with Comcast Business. I have sent them an email asking how to completely disable the 'Security Edge' thing that comes with updated accounts. The contract was upgraded at about the same time all things weird started happening with this website. I have called the HCTRA, but they never answer the phone. Well, as they say life is a bitch, then you die - or as my CFO used to say, life is a bitch, then you marry one, then you die...
Do you have the same issue under a different Windows account? What security software are you running? Have you tried the option to Forget About This Site? Make you have the password. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/remove-websites-address-bar-suggestions#firefox:win11:fx100
