My PC (Windows 10) tells me that I have version 131.0.1 but the latest, stable version is listed on the website as 128.3.1. Suddenly, at the beginning of October, my inbox stopped displaying the older inbox messages. On and from 3rd Oct. it's only showing recent new arrivals. Q.1 How and why have I got 131.0.1? Q2 Do I need to eliminate that vopy and revert to 128.3.1

131 works, but just isn't 'officially' supported yet. I use it regularly. thunderbird is migrating to have an extended support release (128) and a monthly release (131), just stay the course and I think you'll be ok.
