Hey everyone,

I'm using Thunderbird for my work email and looking for a way to have it automatically suggest email addresses when composing an email, based on emails I’ve received—not just the ones I’ve sent or saved in my address book.

In Gmail and Outlook, when you start typing an email address, they automatically suggest addresses from your inbox history, even if they’re not in your contacts. Is there a way to make Thunderbird do the same?

Any built-in settings, add-ons, or workarounds to achieve this? Would really appreciate any advice!

Thanks!

I don't think address autocomplete can suggest addresses from anything besides address books. But you can create a separate address book for this purpose and populate it with addresses found by scanning the Inbox (with an add-on), and add new contacts to that book by clicking (twice) the icon in the Header Pane.
