Some emails seem to disappear
I run Thunderbird on my HP Windows 11 laptop. Occasionally certain Inbox email messages seem to disappear. Just the other day I purchased a Microsoft Office 2019 package. I received a confirmation email from Groupon and a email from the software provider Tomslicense. Both seemed to be gone from my Inbox today. Luckily I also run The Thunderbird app on my Samsung A15 smartphone. I was able to locate the missing emails on the phone and forward them back to myself. So what exactly is happening here? Could these emails be masked or hidden somehow by Thunderbird? Any ideas? Thanks

What type of mail account is this (POP, IMAP)? Do you have any Message Filters? In which folder on the smartphone did you find the missing messages?
They could be hidden because of some view options you have chosen, yes. In particular, the Quick Filter and the options under View > Threads:

You could try searching for them to see where they might be.
