given message to upgrade to 3.6 but when I did could not complete last step of pulling icon out of apps folder and onto desktop. Icon in apps folder has circle & slash. This is an upgrade, I already have 3.5

You have to click it once and Apple will give you a warning about it being something you downloaded off the internet. Once you click Allow (or something like that) then it'll stop having the slash in it.
