when I download, the download comes up as a binary file from differnt sources each time. I'm ocncerned about downloading an getting a virus
I am trying to download the new version of Firefox. It refuses to work from the message saying I need to do this, so I went to mozilla.org, but when I download from the green square, it does not look like your images say it will. In fact it says I will need to open an executable file, but I've noticed that this file comes from all kind of suspicious addresses, not from Mozilla.com.
So, how do I get the new version without getting a virus or destroying my system.
just in case it is relevant: firefox is not set as my primary browser.

Mozilla uses mirrors to optimize downloads (if only one server was used it would be slow and overwhelmed).
When you install Firefox, you should go to www.getfirefox.com, and click the "Download" button. It will be a binary executable File, and the server may not be mozilla.org, but it will be the official Firefox download.
Mozilla uses download mirrors around the globe for server load balancing.
You can find the latest Firefox release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here.
- Firefox 12.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Save the file to the desktop and start the installation with a double-click on the file.
