วิธีแก้ปัญหาที่เลือก

You can drag the links to the Private Browsing Window (hover the icon on the task bar to give that Firefox window focus).
If you drop the link on empty space on the tab bar then the link should open in a new tab.

Private windows are the same thing as private browsing, just instead of closing your whole session you just open a new window that is private.

Well the problem is I have links to websites in a folder. When I click on the links or Internet shortcuts. They go to the main widow and not the private browsing window. When I had the (enter private browsing option) I was able to make the private browsing widow my main widow. So when I click on the links the websites showed up on that widow. Now it seems that I have to type in the websites every time I enter (New private widow). I'm thinking about just going back to the old version or switching over to another browser that will allow me to do this.

Every time you clowns make a new version, something gets screwed up. Mine updated 2 days ago, then Shockwave crashed. Now I find private browsing is gone, you changed the dowloader, etc. Here's some free advice, if something works, don't fix it.

Glad to help. Looks like the moderator has about 11% success rate in solving problems.

Many users never reply or indicate that a reply was helpful. Users who do not respond or mark the reply as a solution, leave that question open and if a solution is posted and the original poster does not mark the solution, then the contributor's solution rate is lower.

Look at your own questions; 3 have responses and you never responded or marked a single one of them as Solved. Therefore the contributor does not have a clue as to whether the suggestion was helpful and, if it was an actual solution to your question, the contributor does not get credit for trying to assist you. To see your questions and answers posted in this forum, just click on your name in the post above.

The problems weren't solved. When it updated, it changed how everything worked, and where to find it. If Mozilla is gonna change the browser so much, how about an email notice or something? I say thanks when Mozilla can fix the constant problem with the Flash Player compatability. Been using Firefox since 2005, and every version since 16 has had problems with Flash Player.

I responded to you only because of your negative comment about a contributor's solution rate.

  • We are all unpaid volunteers here who are users trying to help other users
  • That contributor is the #1 contributor on this forum, has been for quite a long time and is extremely knowledgeable. That contributor has many, many more posts than indicated as do all long-term contributors on this forum due to a change in the forum software a couple of years ago.
  • The point about your prior questions and you not responding to those trying to help, is that those contributors were never made aware by you that their suggestions did not help.
  • Responding to them could have gotten others involved who may have found a solution for you --- your loss!

How many millions/hundred million e-mails do you expect Mozilla to send? Not every Mozilla user has an e-mail on file with Mozilla, either, so what about those users? Have you ever tried looking on the main page ( http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/ ) and clicking "What's new" just under the green download button to review the changes? Apparently not.

There are lots of posts on the forum concerning Flash problems --- search for them or use a search engine to search for posts here and elsewhere. I have not experienced a problem with Flash in any of the Firefox versions that have been on installed on my system for quite a long time (4 versions in total with separate profiles). Most of the problems that were in earlier version of Flash were Adobe issues with 1). their installer, 2). their new protected mode, 3). not thoroughly testing Flash before releasing an update in my opinion. Other issues with Flash are frequently caused by conflicts with other items installed on the user's system.

I have been using Mozilla browsers since Netscape, then Phoenix, and now Firefox. So I am no newcomer to Mozilla products.

It appears your purpose in posting in this thread is just to complain. There are other browsers for you to choose if Firefox disappoints you.

@TheOldFox I read your first comment. I'm sorry I didn't make it clear with the (solution button) first time using this forum so I didn't know.

Thank you for taking the time to come back and choose a solution. Of course, my comments above were directed at another user who replied inappropriately in your thread without offering you a possible solution.

The "Solved" button is available only to the original poster, being the owner of the thread. Many threads are left unsolved or with no reply from the original poster. A system is under discussion to remind original posters of their unsolved threads and to encourage them to return and mark a given reply as a solution or to post the details of some other solution that they found and and mark their own reply as the solution.

The main purpose in marking a thread as Solved is to allow other users to find solutions.

Thank you for your time an attention to the matter.

I have locked this thread, it has a solution and is degenerating. I have edited this rather than post myself so as not to generate any unnecessary email ~J99
