X-marks 4.3.3 add-on will not synch and freezes at log-in box.

I have tried "advanced settings" and "repair" in addition to trying to overwrite remote bookmarks manually using x-marks add-on, however in both cases the log-in dialog box for x-marks pops up and then freezes before showing blank fields for username & pw...... I have disabled sync in firefox also to no avail thanks

I looked for x-marks at the https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ but it was not listed. Where did you get it from?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;

Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences

Then Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.
