Hi AzizalSaqr, as described earlier, you should start Firefox in its Safe Mode. This deactivates extensions, which are the primary vector for malware problems in Firefox. Repeat: Do not start Firefox up again normally, start it in Firefox's Safe Mode.

i have the same problem only worse. pc keeper and media player 12.2 are blanketting my screen. theses are ONLY with firefox and they are overwellming. What the hell is wrong with you people?

why should i have to start firefox in safe mode? Are you telling me then it is NOT safe in normal operational mode? Sounds to me like you people have sold out for the advertising dollar!

Hi waddman, Safe Mode blocks certain customizations that add-ons or external software may have made to Firefox and is one way to narrow down the potential source of a problem. I suggest you continue to follow up in your new question here: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1055713

"Safe Mode" is a program that operates Firefox in fail-safe mode. It disables a bunch of user changed preferences back to the default and is a great way to test and make sure if a problem is actually with Firefox or with third-party software.

I have just removed Mozilla completely from my computer and am now using a combination of Google Chrome, and my aol browser, such a shame, I really liked Mozilla, but, am not giving up my aol.

Azizal, can you install Firefox again (use the new version from www.getfirefox.com) and then, if you still see the message, can you post a screenshot?

As I have told you guys repeatedly, it locks up my computer completely, there is no way to screenshot anything. My computer is clean now, I'm not taking a chance with loading the pc keeper again.

Hopefully AOL will fix their add-on so you can use Firefox again. I didn't realize it was so valuable.

I guess I wasn't specific enough. I don't see any reason to give up your AOL account or their site. What I don't know is whether their browser add-on is valuable to you.

I installed the AOL toolbar from http://extensions.aol.com/-/aol/ and it is version 5.74.1.10388 that appears to have been updated on or about Feb. 19, 2015 (based on internal file dates). After several restarts, I didn't notice that version causing any problems with mystery pop-ups. I did notice that it locked me out of accessing tabs or doing anything while its icons filled in. That probably isn't a big problem if you aren't restarting 17 windows five times in a row...

If you change your mind about Firefox, you may want to reinstall the latest version of the AOL toolbar in case the problem we've seen on the forum was with an older version.
