Recently, two Mac computers were attacked with a virus on Firefox. We were directed to a company called MS Service Group. Is this a company that you hire?
I am finding a couple bad reports of scamming on Ripoff Report. Is this MS Service Group legitimate? Or is this a scam? Our computers are fixed now....but I still unsure if these problems were 'planted' in our computers. Please advise.

Mozilla does use any third-party companies for any form of support purposes including with Firefox. The only time they did was with a company doing support by email several years ago but that short lived.
Hi James, Do you mean does NOT use any third party form of support? Is this company definitely fraudulent? I do not want to send them money if so, of course! Is there a direct support phone number for Mozilla/Firefox? Thanks for your time. Lisa
Correct = does NOT use any 3rd party support vendors
Sorry, Mozilla doesn't do support via telephone - there is no phone number for support. Free, open source software such as Mozilla provides doesn't generate the revenue needed to support the infrastructure for providing support; like phone lines and equipment, along with the overhead for a call center, not to speak of the people needed to provide the support. This forum is Mozilla support, which is peer to peer as is the custom for most open source software providers.
I wonder if that outfit was shutdown? Can't get their website to load - "Firefox can't find the server at www.msservicegroup.com."
I tried viewing their website to see if there might be a trademark issue involving any Mozilla registered trademarks or artwork that might be misleading to consumers. Mozilla "legal" does go after people ro companies that use Mozilla registered trademarks.
We allowed screen sharing on our computers, our "problems" seem to be "fixed". Upon further inspection, we cleaned unwanted folders and mall ware extensions...at least we think we did. We are now concerned about our personal information being compromised. Will running Norton prevent further problems? We should most likely change our passwords, correct?

. Whenever you get a message / popup like that;
DO NOT USE ANY OF THE PROVIDED LINKS OR ANY PHONE NUMBERS ! !
Such messages are only Spam that could lead you to Fake Support. Not only can they damage or hack your system, they charge you to do so.
You can report such a site at; Google Report Phishing Page {web link} which is the same when done while on site by going to Help > Report Web Forgery
