Hundreds of Firefox profiles take 15 minutes to back up. How do I clear them?

Under C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ko2..... appear hundreds of profiles. This doubles my backup time and seems a waste. How can I get rid of all this garbage? If I uninstall Firefox and than reinstall it, will it save my bookmarks and other preferences while getting rid of junk? Thanx

Under C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ko2..... appear hundreds of profiles. This doubles my backup time and seems a waste. How can I get rid of all this garbage? The "real" profile folder is under AppData\Roaming. What is under AppData\Local is the cache and a few other temporary files. You don't need to back that up at all.

Note that you can see the disk cache and its current state on the about:cache page.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Then you can only add this folder to your backup.
