Not getting new emails. Connection times out.

All of a sudden, I'm not getting emails on thunderbird. I use Gmail for email server. I can log into gmail without issue. And emails are working on my phone. When I click on "get messages" in thunderbird, it spins for a few minutes and then message at the bottom pops up "connection has timed out."

tried turning off your phone and after about 10 minutes trying to get mail?
