Correct yahoo password is not recognized by thunderbird (can read email on yahoo.com - new password recognized)

I cannot log to my yahoo account email adress via Thunderbird. Password is correct as I can connect via Yahoo.com. Error message on thunderbird is " Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop.mail.yahoo.com responded: (#MBR1212) Incorrect username or password". I have been using thunderbird for years with that email adress.

Can somebody help

I cannot log to my yahoo account email adress via Thunderbird. Password is correct as I can connect via Yahoo.com. Error message on thunderbird is " Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop.mail.yahoo.com responded: (#MBR1212) Incorrect username or password". I have been using thunderbird for years with that email adress. Can somebody help

have you enabled the less secure apps setting on yahoo. it is new and required. You can thank Yahoo later
