I inadvertantly set up a third party password manager, that I have sinced deleted, but now Firefox will not allow me to use its password manager? Now what?
When installing another program, a password manager was also installed. I think it was called TrueKey. Previously, I had Firefox remember log-ins and passwords and it was working fine. But I thought I would give this new program a spin. I ended up not liking it and deleted the program.
Apparently, during install this new progam turned off Firefox remembering passwords. Now, after deleting the program, I can not turn the pasword remembering back on in Firefox. Is there a solution?

I can not turn the pasword remembering back on in Firefox.
What prevents you from doing so?
I go to Options, then Security and check the block to remember logins. There is no option to save, so I close the window/browser. The next time I go to Firefox, I repeat the options, then security and the block is not checked.
Hi, right click the Start button on your PC > Control Panel > Programs, and uninstall it if it's there.
Another thing you can do, is to search in your PC's search box.
You can also check your Firefox Desktop shortcut for corruption: Right click on it > Properties, and in Target, make sure there is no sign of TrueKey. If there is, delete that part of it. Or if it's easier, you can just delete it and recreate a new shortcut. More: Wrong home page opens when I start Firefox - How to fix.
In Firefox, open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Extensions/Plugins and remove it if there, then restart FF.
