I have several accounts managed under Thunderbird. I would like to use the (many) filters I set up on one o there to the others too. I'm using current version of TB (52), and I never found the file msgFilterRules.dat in any places of the disk (of course I set hidden files in order to be seen)

How can I export V52 fiters, so that I can modify them and reimport under a different TB account?

Thanks!

There should be a msgFilterRules.dat file in each account subfolder of Mail or ImapMail in the profile folder, even if no filters are defined for an account, e.g. in ImapMail/imap-mail.outlook.com for an outlook account. Select Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Open Folder to open the profile folder, close TB and copy the dat files from one account folder to another.

You may have been looking in the .../AppData/Local/Thunderbird/Profiles folder instead of .../AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles.

Make sure thunderbird is closed before copy pasting the 'msgFilterRules.dat' file between mail accounts. See image as guide:
