Hi,

So have two SMTP domains, both pass through the same MTA and are then relayed onto Gmail. I’m unable to add the second mail account to Thunderbird (52.7.0 ) because both mail accounts use the same inbound and outbound servers; smtp.gmail.com and imap.gmail.com

How do I add both so that I can manage two accounts that use both the same servers?

Thanks

Thunderbird will not allow duplicate account names. It has nothing to do with server names. for instance is you create the account bill@gmail.com it will buck and carry on if you try that one again and will not play nice until you rename the duplicate if through some error it is actually created.

Where duplicates are concerned simply adding a 1 to the name of the account displayed when you get the error in account manger clears the error.

But I am guessing what the issue is because I see no steps to replicate your situation, not any reference to the actual error message you receive.
