Recently, while opening a message from Nextdoor.com with Outlook, I noticed a series of handshakes being exchanged. One was googletagmanager or some such. I also get a new flock of ads on my Outlook page.Does this usually go on while e-mail messages are being opened? I have not noticed it before. If this is going on, is any e-mail message safe to open?

googletagmanager is a Tracker. You should look into using a good adblocker and elevating Enhanced Tracking Protection
