Problems increasing since last Update.
Tbird connects with difficulty or won't connect at all the IMAP server. It won't save a Draft just edited; hours wasted 'cause it just disappeared. I thought Drafts were local, are they on the server? And now all I get is the little spinning disc... Reinstall? That's so easy for me to screw up....

Drafts is not local if your account is imap. But you can change it at Tools > Account Settings > Copies and Folders.
But it sounds like you have more general connection issues. These can often be caused by antivirus SW.
