I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox because it kept crashing. Now my bookmarks are gone. How can I get them back?

I tried to backup my computer to an earlier date but wasn't successful.

Thanks, Theresa

You can try to restore them by clicking on the top right drop down menu > Bookmarks > Manage bookmarks > Import and Backup > Restore > Select the date where you would like to restore

As Firefox automatically creates a backup for your bookmarks regularly, you should be able to see it.

Additionally, you can also sign in to Firefox to sync your bookmarks, history, tabs, passwords, add-ons and settings by clicking on the top right drop down menu > Sign In

You may have a folder of old Firefox data on your desktop (in which case see the first article below). Otherwise, the second article may help.

Hi Theresa, how did you do this:

I tried to backup my computer to an earlier date but wasn't successful.

If it was a Windows "system restore" please pause since that can make things worse, and we can describe how to investigate what Windows did.

If it was using separate backup software, does that software include the ability to see a list of the backed up files to see what is in the backups?
