Why after I donate, thunderbird loses all my files, contracts, message rules, accounts....Happens everytime I donate....losing motivation here. The "fix" is not easy to find either....what gives? Please don't update me anymore.....

This is the third time I have had to fix this. Please help.

Please don't give me a list of articles on how to fix this, what I need is a How To list of steps. BTW I am using Red Hat 8 Linux.

Does it also happen with Firefox? (Because Thunderbird and Firefox use the same update process)

Did you install Thunderbird from the thunderbird.net website ? Or through your linux distro?
