The message pane in thunderbird is dead after upgrade from 102.12.0 to 115.8.1. New messages won't show up automatically. I allways have to try to scroll down the message list to see if new messages have arrived.

I run Thunderbird on OpenSUSE Linux 15.4.

You'd need to explain what that means in more detail. How does 'scroll down the message list' get you your new messages?

If this is a matter of sort order (sorted by date), then just reverse it, so that new messages will show at the top.
