Why are the download options no longer categorized as in flv, WMP, MP3 etc?
Why are the download options no longer categorized as in flv, WMP, MP3 etc? All one gets from the download drop-down menu is: (480p), (240p) or (360p) for example and the name of the video of course. The way it is now, I cannot identify the type of video I am downloading as I could before. Thanks!

Hi Ubi.
I got it to work by enabling the last item (check box) that says "Show widget to switch FLV/MPV formats from within YouTube pages". From what I can make out from your screen shot, it looks as though you also have this enabled, so I am not sure why it is not working for you. Unfortunately, I'm not a tech person, so I don't know what else to suggest, apart from describing the steps in more detail ...
When you first play a video on You Tube, the rotating VDH icon in the Firefox menu bar only shows files in .flv format.
To access the video in MP4 format, you need to click on the small button next to the title of the video labelled ">MP4" (on the webpage itself). [This is made possible through the widget we enabled on the "Capture-YouTube" options screen.]
The page then reloads. On the reloaded page, the small MP4 button should now be labelled ">FLV". When you now access the rotating VDH icon on the Firefox menu bar, an .mp4 file should be available for download (along with .flv ones).
I really hope you can find a way of getting it to work. It is definitely possible to download in MP4 format (as we were both able to do previously).

Hi Ubi. Here's something to try ... On the Firefox Tools menu, select DownloadHelper - Preferences. Then from the Capture menu, click the YouTube tab and then check the boxes relating to the widgets. When you next try to download a YouTube video, you should see an MP4 button next to the VDH icon nect to the video's title. Clicking on this button reloads the page, adding an MP4 option to the Firefox menu bar VDH button. Hope that helps!
Hi bundy! Thank you so much for trying to help. I have tried to do what you say, but alas I have not got any check boxes!!! And strangely enough I cannot disable the flv download possibilities. I'm including a screen-shot of what I'm referring to. Maybe you can see something else I could change. Look forward to any other suggestion.

Hi Bundy, I think you found the solution! I don't know why the different options were no longer displaying! Very annoying! But it seems that not everybody was affected by that. Strange. Anyway, by checking the 'what's this' where that widget is, I got to this, which explains what you said: http://www.downloadhelper.net/youtube-format-switcher.php Thanks once again! Ubi
