a site is trying to install a plugin that firefox has blocked. I do not want to allow the install but the warning that pops up in the browser only gives me the "allow" option. I "x" out the warning and visit another page and the warning populates again.

I found this plugin unexpectedly installed & activated after having numerous problems with Firefox over the last several days, including CPU spiking and a nefarious looking Temp file in my trash: plugin-crossdomain.xml (and no, I haven't visited any pron sites).

Other plugins I have installed: [D] = just deactivated it [D] Facebook Plug-In 1.0 (http://www.facebook.com/fbplugin/) [D] iPhotoPhotocast 6.0 (iPhoto6) Java Embedding Plugin 0.9.7.2 MRJ Plugin version 1.0-JEP-0.9.7.2 Java Plug-In 2 for NPAPI 12.5.0 [D] Microsoft Office Live Plug-in 12.2.3 (I don't recall installing this either, I don't use Office Live) QuickTime Plug-in 7.6.6 Shockwave Flash 10.1.53.64

Ok, the www.facebook.com/fbplugin/ is showing in two other threads I just glanced at:

Yes, it's probably a common plugin, but I suspect there's something else going on. Is it possible this plugin has been compromised or is otherwise vulnerable to exploit?
