Since a couple of hours, all online images stopped working for me. Not just my own pictures and photos, but ALL pictures on ALL sites, including avatars, banners, backgrounds etc. Videos do work, and I do see some colored buttons, but lots of other buttons appear only as text.

I have no idea how this happened. I thought it might have something to do with AdBlock Plus, so I switched it off, but it's still happening.

I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance.

See:

  • You can see the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
  • You can see all exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
  • You can check the Tools > Page Info > Media tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images)

There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block images.

The NoScript Add-on might be interfering. The avatars in the comments on huffingtonpost are sometimes (not always) not displayed. I allow all scripts on the page temporarily, which helps, I think. The behavior is not consistent: after enabling all page scripts temporarily, some scripts are still disabled. Sometimes I have to reload the page a second time to get the avatars displayed.
