I have downloaded bookmarks from IE. Do I need to keep IE on my system in order to keep the bookmarks or are they now a permanent part of FF

I have downloaded bookmarks from IE. Do I need to keep IE on my system in order to keep the bookmarks or are they now a permanent part of FF

If the bookmarks are appearing in Firefox there is no need to keep the IE bookmarks files themselves. You may however wish to retain IE

  • there are some functions that are easier or only possible on IE, how do you update Windows & OS for instance.
  • IE may be useful as a backup browser, and maybe for troubleshooting
