I have firefox 6.1 version ready to go but according to my Mac I must delete my existing firefox version 3.2 before I can access the 6.1 version. How do I delete the old version? And, how do I retain my home page information when I do it?

  • Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
  • Install the new version that you have downloaded

Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.
