does keeping multiple tabs open in Firefox slow down the computer at all?
My kids are always yelling at me to close tabs because they insist having them open will "slow down the internet". Please help settle this family argument.

That is possible if there are a lot of tabs open with active content (plugins or scripts) that need to be updated. It shouldn't make a difference for websites that only have text on current computers. But be cautious with websites that have a lot of Flash content.
