I just switched from AOL to Mozilla. I was with AOL for years. In the AOL system I had access to an address book (contact list) which I used to select all the addresses to which I wanted to send an e-mail. In AOL I would highlight an address and click Send or CC or BCC and all the addresses would accumulate on the proper line. I don't know how to do this in Mozilla. Doing this in Mozilla does not appear to be as simple as in AOL.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.

If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, see this forum for support. http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/support/

This probably depends on the webmail system you use. It may simply be that until you use an address for the first time it will not autocomplete.

Most of the webmail applications available work on the same principle of CC and BCC to copy an email to.

Some webmail, for example, Hotmail does not show the CC and BCC fields by default. There is a "Show CC & BCC" link that you need to click (if you're using Hotmail). Similarly, if you're using Gmail, you need to click on the links "Add Cc" or Add Bcc".

Once you have the CC or BCC fields, you can populate them with your email addresses. If you've already imported your contacts from AOL to your new webmail, you can use the contact list to populate the fields.
