how do I stop private browsing interupting downloads?

If I am downloading something and I turn Private browsing on or off the download stop and usually can not be restarted from where it was. Is there a way to allow the download to continue or to get a warning that this will happen?

i think there is no way u can restore,because wen u are in private mode cookies and all the external information will not be stored...but check this it may help https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/use-downloads-window-to-manage-downloaded-files

Maybe this helps a little if you close Firefox.

You can set the browser.download.manager.quitBehavior pref to 2 on the about:config page.
That will make Firefox ask for confirmation if you want to cancel the download if you close Firefox.
