after upgrading to v 16.0 I have lost all my bookmarks, addons, toolbars, norton passwords etc and want thrm back

All I did was download the upgrade as recommended and all my additional toolbars, (Norton, Gamers Unite, etc) as well as all my bookmarks, homepage, history etc.

Can I get them all back or go back to a previous version?

Are you still using your (previous) default profile?

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Strange, but all my missing data appears to have come back? I don't understand how, but it is as if the upgrade didn't happen at all. Many thanks for your response though.
