My add-ons disappeared from my toolbar when I downloaded Firefox 17 for AOL. How can I get them back on my toolbar?

I can find all of my add-ons when I click on the Firefox icon on the upper left of my screen and click on add-ons, but they no longer appear on my toolbar where I can click on them and use them with the file I'm working in. They are useless to me now. I disabled the AOL toolbar for one session and the add-ons didn't show up. When I click on the edit buttion on the AOL toolbar, I don't see where I can add the Firefox add-ons. How can I get them back onto my toolbar?

Hi,

You can try to right-click the + after the last tab > Customize, and drag and drop the required icons. Alternatively you may also be able to include the icons via the Options in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons > Extensions.

If there are problems, you can try deleting the localstore.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder after exiting Firefox, and then do the customization.

To open the profile folder via Firefox: Help (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting Information > Show Folder.

The add-ons wouldn't drag into my AOL Toolbar, but I found that if I opened and added a Bookmark Toolbar I could drag the add-ons I use frequently into that toolbar and find and use them easily. It seems useless to have to have two toolbars opened though, just so I can have add-ons. Is there any way to consolidate these toolbars?

Actually you don't need an extra toolbar. Instead you can try to drag the icons onto the Firefox toolbar (on the right side of the location (address) bar) just after the refresh or X or -> buttons. I don't think it would be possible to customize the custom AOL toolbar, though if it's possible the AOL support would have helpful info.
