Firefox crashes on opening and will only start in safe mode
On starting, Firefox gives me 2 options: to reset Firefox or open in Safe mode. If I choose reset, it crashes. I have restarted the computer, reinstalled Firefox and disables hardware acceleration. I have also checked that Windows update KB 2670838 does not exist on my system.

hello, could you provide your latest few submitted crash reports? please enter about:crashes into the location bar, copy the latest few report ids from there & paste them here into a forum reply. this will give us a better understanding what may be triggering those crashes.
i'd also recommend to run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner.
