When I start firefox, a blank bar appears at the bottom of the screen. The bar does not go away until I open and close the add-on bar (Ctrl + / twice). How am I able to make this bar not appear at start up?

Hello krintix, Can you please attach screenshots of your problem here, it would be helpful for us.

See this to attach your Snaps here: How do I create a screenshot of my problem?

Hello krintix, in your system details it seems that you have in your profile folder a User.js file.

The user.js file does not exist by default. If you create the file, forget it, if you have not create the file then delete the User.js file, to see if the problem goes away (some programs create and write in the file also).

thank you

If the Add-on toolbar doesn't stay hidden then you may have installed an extension that places info on that toolbar.
Firefox will show this toolbar in such a case to make you aware of this info.

You can also check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file.
