Find button equivalent to ctrl+b for sidebar bookmarks
I am longing for the button to one-click open bookmarks in a sidebar. I found the keyboard shortcut, thankfully. However, for some people it is a wide hand spread to do ctrl+b to get a basic browser tool open, and for some it requires letting go of the mouse and using two hands.
Using drop down menus with secondary fly-outs (i.e. bookmarks organized within folders) repeatedly wastes time. Add up the frustrating seconds per bookmark 3x click in a year and I could have accomplished something else and be less stressed.
Why is it not an option to customize the tools with the button of choice? If it still works to use Ctrl+B to open bookmarks in a sidebar, or Ctrl+H to open history in a sidebar, why not give users the option to select buttons for that, as well as the drop down menu variation?
I believe users can learn to recognize a new button, so if button design is a problem, let us know and we will have a contest to design new ones!
We just need someone to put the code back in for users to customize to our own preferences. Give us back the basic function of easily getting to our most used and favorite web sites. Be a leader and offer alternate buttons/methods for opening and using bookmarks and history.
We appreciate all the work that goes into Mozilla Firefox, just please don't go backwards.
PS Yes, I know the bookmarks can be opened in a sidebar by clicking the bookmarks drop down menu and then clicking to View Bookmarks Sidebar, but that is still two clicks to open the sidebar instead of one each time. Clicks are time. Life is short.

You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to restore some functionality that was lost with the arrival of the Australis style in Firefox 29.
- Classic Theme Restorer: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/
- You can check out the settings of the CTR extension via its Options/Preferences button on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" page.
- You can find extra toolbar buttons and more toolbar settings in Customize (3-bar Firefox Menu button > Customize)
