Why do I get "The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: mwinf5d04 ME Service refused, please try later. OUK_999 [999].
When I have sent a message on a List, I often get this message both immediately in response to that message, and also to new sent messages) What is this, and can I make sure that List messages actually go out?

That refers to the Thunderbird help menu and the troubleshooting entry on it. When you get there there is a copy to clipboard button. Use it, and paste the information here into a message.
