Firefox keeps stopping downloads before they are comlpeted and marking them as finished.
Whenever I attempt to download files larger than, let's say, 9 MB Firefox stops before the download is even halfway through. I have a slow internet connection, so I know there's a problem when Firefox finishes a 40 MB download in two minutes (my average download speed is about 13 KB per second). At first I thought it was a fluke, this kind of thing has happened before but if I try to re-download the file it will usually overcome the problem. But four tries later and I'm not able to complete the download. I've tried to clearing my Windows TEMP folder, to no avail, so help would be much appreciated.

What to do if you can't download or save files If you can't download or save files with Firefox, this article explains the steps to take to fix this problem.
What security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is interfering otherwise.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
