I am upgrading to a new PC and many changes take place at the same time. The old PC with Outlook and 2 GB of emails is still working (somehow). In the new PC there is no Outlook present. How to move the email, contacts, (calendar) to the new PC with Thunderbird as email application.

The instructions on your web let me understand that I need to have Outlook on the new PC to do the moves of emails. It does not offer other alternatives. If it helps I can copy the Outlook *.pst files to the new PC (but where and what happens next?). I have no possibility to install outlook on the new PC without buying a new program!

Why not install Thunderbird on the older computer and migrate the mails there, then copy the profile to the new computer?
