I have Thunderbird for my MacBook Air. Each new email I get is deleted within 30 minutes and is then nowhere to be found. I can't seem to figure out why this is happening. My account is set up as an IMAP account and all my account settings seem to be correct. Any help would be much appreciated.

Check the settings for the email account in Server Settings. Did you set Tbird to remove messages after a certain time? Are the messages still on the server, or are they removed from it? Also, are the messages not going to trash but simply disappearing?
