Firefox crashes
Both Firefox and Chrome crash after being opened for any length of time. Sometimes when I am using it and sometimes when it is minimized. There are no messages displayed when this happens it just closes. IE is the only browser that does not ever crash. I have Firefox set as the default browser. This just started about 3 weeks ago before that it never happened. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still happens. I reset to defaults and no change.

It is possible that Firefox uses to much memory and crashes because of out-of-memory (OOM) issues.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
