hi, I would like to have a visual indicator or a place I can check to see when sync is completed. I think it is making my machine's fan spin up even after it has finished. I love the feature, I just want to make it energy efficient and the most productive! thank you! ps I use Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac 10.8

You can try to deselect settings in what items are synced to see if you can identify the item(s) that cause this issue with the hard drive.

ty @cor-el, yes that sounds like a good idea if I want to permanently disable. But I'm ok if it spins a little, I just want it to stop. Like now it has stopped, but I still have no indicator of whether it is actually done syncing, right?

There's a Sync button in the Customize palette which you can move to a Toolbar or the Menu panel. When the cursor over that Sync button a tooltip appears that says when the Sync was last completed.

@the-edmeister, thank you for your reply!

I see the icon but nothing happens when I hover. not even when I login and it starts humming the fan?

I wish login were easier. It has many clicks; first I have to click yes, really, then it redirects to the new user page, then I have to click no, existing user, then lastpass doesn't work on the signin page so I have to remember what special password I gave it.
