Hey Pacovilla,

Do you by chance have the LastPass manager as an add-on in Firefox? (You can click the settings icon at the top right, and choose add ons.)

If you do, try disabling this, or starting Firefox with no add-ons to see if that works.

That add-on seems to be causing issues with Facebook on Firefox.

Hey Pacovilla,

That is odd, and I'm a bit stumped.

You might have already checked these basic things, but I would double check in Firefox settings that you only have English selected. Take out any other languages. Also check your Mac to see if there are any odd files near the Firefox location. Try searching something like "Greek" in the finder and see if any files show that are installed with Firefox. Worst case if not tried already, uninstall Firefox, then make sure all Firefox language files are cleared out in the finder prior to re-installing.

The last step is to see if it's your computer causing this. It's odd that part of it is English and part is in another language. I can't decipher which part is reading from Firefox, and which is reading from the Mac. (The mac should give you the message of what crashed as it's the same for most all programs, so that seems to be the English part. The rest I believe is Firefox info, so that would indicate it's Firefox displaying the other language.) Go into your language and settings for your Mac, and just verify that you don't have any other languages selected in there. Verify everything for all 4 tabs as shown in the picture I attached.

The only other possibility is that you have some sort of worm/trojan on your Mac (Potentially received somehow via Facebook) that isn't allowing you to go to Facebook. Are you able to get into Facebook with no other issue on other devices? (If so go in on another device, change your password to make sure your FB isn't hacked, and verify the language selected in Facebook.) Are you able to get on FB in other browsers on your Mac? Is this your first time downloading Firefox and attempting to use FB, or was it all working up until you started receiving crash reports?

The appearance of Greek character is a bug on Mac.

  • bug 1115892 - Crash reporter appears in a different language (Greek [el]) than Firefox and OS X (British English, [en-GB])

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that have a "bp-" prefix:

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the Report ID of recent crash reports on the "Help > Troubleshooting Information" page (about:support).

  • Click the "All Crash Reports" button on this page to open the about:crashes page and see all crash reports.

If necessary then you can open about: pages via the location/address bar.

Apparently till now I didn't send any crash reports, I couldn't tell because it was in Greek, I didn't know what I've done. Anyway I crashed again and that was the Id: bp-a87a1313-2521-4a22-88b6-675d42150221
